Makayla – Senior Makeup Artist & Hairstylist

Makayla is a Vancouver-based Makeup and Hair Artist with roots in Nova Scotia. After moving across the country to pursue her passion, she graduated from the John Casablancas Institute in 2019 with a Diploma in Beauty & SFX Makeup.

Her career began in cosmetic retail with Charlotte Tilbury and The Ordinary, before transitioning into broadcast, where she worked as the Key Hair & Makeup Artist at a Vancouver News Station for two years. Along the way, her artistry has been featured in En Vie Fashion Magazine, SELIN magazine, and on the runways of Vancouver Fashion Week.

Specializing in bridal, special events, and photoshoots, Makayla is best known for her effortless, timeless looks that enhance natural beauty and leave clients feeling radiant and confident. With a background in skincare, she understands the importance of creating the perfect canvas for makeup application.
