Faye Smith is the Founder, Master Celebrity Stylist, Educator, and Creative Director of Faye Smith Agency. Originally from England, Faye began her career in 2008 as a solo makeup artist, assisting her makeup instructor on opera productions in Birmingham before taking a leap of faith and moving to Canada to pursue her dream career.

After graduating as a top featured artist from Blanche Macdonald Centre, Faye quickly established herself as one of Canada’s leading hair and makeup artists. What began as a one-woman business has grown into Faye Smith Agency, one of Canada’s largest on-location hair and makeup agencies, representing more than 100 professional makeup artists and hairstylists across British Columbia and Ontario.

Today, Faye divides her time between luxury bridal clients, commercial productions, beauty education, content creation, and mentoring the next generation of artists, all while leading the award-winning Faye Smith Agency. She is also the founder of Primp & Proper Salon in the heart of Gastown, Vancouver, and Faye Smith Academy, an education platform dedicated to helping beauty professionals build thriving careers.

In April 2026, Faye and her family relocated to West Kelowna, bringing her expertise to the beautiful Okanagan Valley. She now personally serves clients throughout Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, Penticton, Peachland, Summerland, and the surrounding Okanagan, while continuing to oversee Faye Smith Agency’s teams across Vancouver, Whistler, Vancouver Island, Toronto, and the GTA.

Faye believes that the best artists never stop learning. Throughout her career, she has continually invested in advanced education, training with internationally recognized educators and academies including Tatiana Hair Beauty Academy (Georgiy Kot Hair Art Methods), Kevin Murphy Academy, Moroccanoil Academy, Ulyana Aster, and Artistry by V.

Her work is recognized for polished, timeless beauty that photographs flawlessly while lasting from the first look until the final dance. From celebrity appearances and luxury weddings to television productions, commercial campaigns, and editorial shoots, Faye brings the same attention to detail and commitment to excellence to every client.

Wedding hair and makeup remains Faye’s greatest passion. Since 2009, she has helped thousands of brides feel confident and beautiful on one of the most important days of their lives.

Under her leadership, Faye Smith Agency has become one of British Columbia’s most trusted bridal beauty companies, earning recognition through the International Wedding Awards, WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards, BC Wedding Awards, Modern Basic Beauty Contest, and numerous other industry honours.

Educator & Mentor

An educator since 2015, Faye has trained hundreds of aspiring and established beauty professionals through private mentorships, workshops, speaking engagements, and online education.

She has taught for Kingdom Beauty Supplies, Birch & Lace Hair Company,  Design.Me Hair, beauty schools, and independent salons before launching Faye Smith Academy in 2021. Through both online and in-person education, her mission is simple: to help artists build successful, sustainable careers doing what they love.

Rising YouTube Beauty Educator

Beyond working behind the chair, Faye has become a rapidly growing YouTube beauty educator, sharing honest advice about freelancing, bridal artistry, beauty business, entrepreneurship, product reviews, and professional techniques.

Her channel has become a trusted resource for both aspiring and established makeup artists looking to improve their artistry, grow their businesses, and gain real-world insight from someone who has built a successful beauty brand from the ground up.
