Junior Stylists - Faye Smith Agency

Faye Smith Agency’s Junior Makeup and Hair Artists are newly graduated artists who FSA talent scouts see something special in. Faye Smith Agency and Academy mentors new makeup and hair artists who they believe have a unique talent, and tons of potential to blossom as young artists in the industry.

The fee to work with a Junior artists is much lower than that of a senior or master stylist as it reflects their fresh and new status in the industry. When working with a Junior artist you can expect that they will need more time to complete the finished look, and they will need their customer’s guidance on adjustments they would like made. If you are looking for a simple makeup and/or hair look and are working with a small budget then booking wit a Junior artist is right for you.

Graduating from makeup school is an exciting time! It is a time to hunt for opportunity, develop your skills, and gain experience from the veterans in the industry. Faye Smith Agency and Academy Founder, Faye Smith, believes that every talented and motivated new artist should be given the opportunity to start their career, learn, and grow. Are you looking for a budget friendly option and a simple wedding hair and makeup look? If yes then our Junior artist roster is perfect for you! Please note that our Junior artists have graduated from school within the past two years and tend to need more time to finish your makeup and look than experienced artists. They can achieve simple looks only.

Clip-in Hair Extension Rental | $75

Any hair style is possible if there is enough hair! Rent a set of clip-in hair extensions and all of your hair dreams will come true. For brides, the rental fee includes your trial if you are having one, and wedding day.

$150 damage deposit applies. Refunded in full when returned undamaged within 5 days of your event.

Don’t need to rent hair extensions because you have your own? We will install them for you for an added fee of $25.

Mink lashes are the highest quality strip lashes on the market. They are full, fluffy, bold and reusable 25 times. We carry a wide range for you to shop from on our online shop, and in our Gastown Vancouver beauty salon, Primp & Proper.

Cashmere Lashes | $25

Personal Stylist | $70 per hour

Do you wish you could have a Fairy Godmother follow you around all day to ensure you and your bridal party never look less than perfect? We can certainly book a Fairy for you!

Touch Up Kit | $35

Additional Fees

We are transparent about all additional fees.

Mobile Fees | Vary

Mobile fees apply to all bookings that take place outside of our salon. The mobile fee varies according to the location and number of artists required to travel. Please inquire about pricing.

Early Morning Fees

applicable to all bookings that begin before 7 AM. – $35 Per Artist
applicable to all bookings that begin before 5 AM. – $65 Per Artist

Late Night Fees

applicable to all bookings that begin 6 PM or later. – $65 Per Artist

Concierge Fee | $50

The concierge/handling fee is only applicable for wedding bookings of 3+ persons.

This fee is for us to maintain our professional wedding makeup and hair booking service with our private customer concierge for each of our valuable clients. This service may include:

1. Unlimited free email/phone communication from booking steps to style advise.

2. Unlimited adjustments to your order.

3. Carefully curated professional makeup and/or hair artist team based on your unique style and preferences.

4. Coordinating the wedding day makeup and hair timeline and artist arrangements.

Please Note: If the number of persons on the booking is reduced after the time the contract is signed, the concierge fee will not be removed.

Clip-in Hair Extension Installation | $30

If you have not rented or purchased clip-in hair extensions from us but would like us to install your own, we charge a small fee for the added time. This service is only available as an add-on to our event hair styling services.

To book a Junior Artist we require you to sign a contract to waive Faye Smith Agency of responsibility of your satisfaction with this finished look. While our junior artists are scouted due to their natural talent, they do not yet have the experience that our senior and master stylists do, and the low fee paid for the services reflects that.

Olaplex Hair Bond Repair Treatment | $90
Olaplex is a bond multiplier which contains a single active ingredient – Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. In simple terms, an Olaplex treatment helps repair damaged hair, bringing back life and shine. Olaplex repairs damage by cross-linking single sulfur hydrogen bonds in your hair back together to form disulfide bonds.

Semi-Permanent Eyelash Enhancements

There are usually lots of events surrounding your wedding day including your bridal shower, stagette, engagement photoshoot and rehearsal. Getting your hair and makeup professionally styled for each of these events may not be in the budget, but a lash enhancement may be. Enhancing your eyelash with eyelash extensions or a lash lift are great ways to make your beauty routine easy, efficient and extra.

This treatment uses a soft C shaped mould to curl and elongate your natural lashes, lasts for 2-3 months, and tints them mascara Black. This is a zero maintenance lash enhancement.
