Carly is a Master Stylist and Educator here at Faye Smith Agency. She is a Vancouver born & raised classic girly girl with a zest for life, a love for glitter, and a way with makeup. A true romantic, Carly believes that every client should have their fairytale moment. Her passion is to make you look and feel like the person you’ve always dreamed of being.
Graduated from Blanche Macdonald’s makeup program in 2018, Carly is a qualified and experienced Airbrush Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist who is equally passionate about both arts. She loves creating intricate braids, romantic half ups and boho updo hairstyles. She has worked with hundreds of BC Brides and Bridal Parties, and has extensive experience working with grads, on special occasions, photo shoots, and headshots.
Carly has been involved in numerous styled photoshoots with some of Vancouver’s top wedding vendors, some of which have been published. Most notably this shoot featured in Real Weddings:Â https://www.
Carly loves sharing her knowledge and experience with others through one-on-one makeup lessons with clients, as well as up and coming artists. We are excited to launch her workshops at Faye Smith Academy in the Winter of 2022!
A few words from Carly:
“I have always been obsessed with weddings and have had quite the journey to find where I fit in the industry. I was a bridal consultant with the Bridal Gallery when I was younger, had a wedding planning and decor side business when I was working in my profession (marketing), and eventually realized mobile bridal makeup was just about the best job I’d ever heard of. Having been artistic my whole life but now knowing how to harness that in a professional way, makeup and hair felt right. I quit my corporate job, went to makeup school, and the rest is history”.
